Just A Bit About Us And Our Elves......

foreverweheartani.gif

9-11-01.jpg

We are life-long residents, and our home is located in rural, south central Wisconsin. Our very first Pomeranian was a female named "Missy", who has since crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We were hooked, and have been owned by poms ever since!
Currently, there are five of these little mischevious elves living with us! Well, that number varies, when we are occasionally visited by a small number of elflings!
All of our elves live in our home and are hand raised. We are NOT a kennel, and do NOT cage any of our elves. Our children and grandchildren play with and socialize all pups.
Have a wonderful visit, and please see the Pomeranian description below!

The Pomeranian......

The Pomeranian is descended from the sled dogs of Iceland and Lapland, but was refined in England. He was bred for no other reason than to be pampered and admired.

Size:
Males: 4 to 7 lbs.
Females: 4 to 7 lbs.

Colors:
Any solid color, parti, or exotic

Coat:
Double coated, a short, soft, thick undercoat with longer, coarse glistening outercoat consisting of guard hairs which must be harsh to the touch in order to give the proper texture for the coat to form a frill of profuse, standing off straight hair. A soft, flat or open coat is a major fault.

Temperament:
Very friendly and outgoing with people.
Very loyal to owner.
Usually trustworthy off lead when properly trained.
Can be destructive if not supervised.
Usually very vocal.
Usually not difficult to housebreak.
Usually good with other animals.

Reception to Training:
A fair candidate if not spoiled.

Energy Level:
Very high

Health Problems:
Allergies, Epilepsy, PRA, cataracts.

Summary:
A very beautiful little dog. This dog is better owned by an owner that has lots of time to give him. He is tiny and delicate, so should have supervision around children.

If looking for a Conformation Show dog, this is a good choice.
If looking for a Pet/Companion Dog, a good choice.
If looking for an Obedience Dog, a fair choice.
Even up and coming in the Agility world!
